How to read a tide chart and tide times
A tide chart is most useful when it answers both “what happens next?” and “which day looks different?” Tide Chart Now keeps the underlying predictions visible while adding the context needed to make that comparison quickly.
1. Start with the named location
Choose the beach, harbor, inlet, or city you actually mean. Tide times can differ along the same stretch of coast, so each page stays tied to a named place and local timezone instead of treating one regional prediction as identical everywhere.
2. Check the next predicted turn
High and low tide times are predicted turns, not real-time measurements. The Tide Brief shows whether the predicted tide cycle is rising or falling and lists the next 24 hours in the location’s local timezone.
3. Compare the daily range
Height alone does not show the whole week. The range planner compares each day’s highest predicted high with its lowest predicted low, while the detailed table preserves the exact times and MLLW heights.
